The Peacock Scholarship was established in 2015 by Jigar and Deepali Patel. Their passion for education inspired them to start this important needs-based college scholarship for Indian-American youths.

Jigar B. Patel MD MBA, Founder and Director of the Peacock Scholarship Fund, is a board certified emergency medicine physician with a long standing interest in charitable work and promotion of education. Dr. Patel received his medical degree from the UAB School of Medicine and his business degree from Auburn University. He is involved with his local temple and supports other wonderful charities.

Deepali N. Patel PharmD is a pharmacist with a large retail pharmacy chain. Dr. Patel received her pharmacy degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. She is involved with her local temple and supports other great charities.
